EAST JAVA , MALANG and BROMO
located in the east part of the island , that`s the reason this region is called East Java. This reegion is in general occupied by Javanese , as the main ethnic group living in this area.Accorning to the history , most people in this region used to lived in Central Java before. Due to the big earthquake which rocked Central Java in 1006,made everybody moved from Central part to East part of the island for evacuation purpose.The very famous dinasty Sanjaya colaborated with the East Javanese dinasty , ISYANA which later set up so many both Hindus and Budhist kingdoms in this region. The only Hindus village in Java is still found in Bromo area,where the Tenggerese live. They still hold their local ancient belief , the belief of their great grand parents.at least the annual Hindus ceremony will be regularly held every full moon in he tenth month of their calender ,the very famous ceremony of KESODO or KESADA where everyody get together with all their ceremony equipments to be offerred to their God,nowadays some other Hindus communities in our neighbourhood island of Bali still would take a part in this annual event yearly.
Beside famous of this culture , as mentioned many times, Easr Java is very rich in beautiful mountains and lovely hills and acvtive vulcanos.
almost in every active vulcano , the very green and fertility farming area found , and the local inhabitants are happy to occupy all tose farming areas for their daily life , indeed all big cities in the surrounding always depend on them , especially in getting enough supply of fresh vegetables , such as carrots , cabbages , onions,and of course potatos.
the other part of Bromo, lies a famous colonial city which is Malang.a short drive of 30 minutes by car , then we will show you another attraction of Coban Rondo water fall and one of very few Apple Plantation in the country.
a little drive to the very east of the region, we will reach the regency of Banyuwangi where the crater lake is located , the lake which is called IJEN or Ijen crater , offers you the magnificent and colourful view of the crater which is actually the reflextion of the chining sun and the sulphur mud in the botton of the lake.
Last but not least , going further to the west , our neighbour provence of Central Java awaits with all beautiful and legendary man made monuments , and temples whish are more than 1.000 ( one thousand ) years old , such as the wellknown BOROBUDUR and Pramabanan Temple.

At about 03.30 , a very early wake up call , then transfer by 4 X 4 Toyota vehicle to the peak of Pananjakan ( 2.600m above sea level ),to catch the golden sun rise.Continue the tour after sun rise , to reach the active crater of Bromo by crossing the sea of sand and trek the number of 284 steps to the peak of Bromo active crater on the friendly horse back , return to the hotel for breakfast and shower, then depart to Malang as your next destination.On the way visit the SAFARI park in Prigen to see the very rare collection of the Indonesian animals , suc as KOMODO varrant Dragon and javanese Rhino ( RINOCERUS JAVANICUS ).in the afternoon , arrive in malang , overnight either in Batu upper city , a very famous mountain resort or in down town Malang , another colonial style city in Java.Day 3 : Malang - Surabaya
